The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Garry Coates made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Triquetra AFC booed when Titanic of Belfast was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garry Coates didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steven Dowrick took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Larry Bullock. Titanic of Belfast's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Titanic of Belfast's Tosh Moon got a free kick in the 84th minute. Larry Bullock stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dennis Salmon's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dennis Salmon in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Larry Bullock saved Titanic of Belfast from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Dennis Salmon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Larry Bullock was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game.
