Spectators: 10887 (Terracing: 8166, Seating: 2504, VIP seats: 217) 4 minutes into the game, Richard Herlin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nigel Hill. Richard Herlin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Reinaldo Varela came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Rawdon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinaldo Varela couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rawdon FC's Reinaldo Varela slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nigel Hill. That made the score 2-0 after 9 minutes of play. 3-0 became the score in the 12th minute when Peter Smith elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Reinaldo Varela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nigel Hill was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 23 minutes into the game, Reinaldo Varela cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Nigel Hill was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 25 minutes of play, Rawdon FC's Tobiasz Karaszkiewicz made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nigel Hill was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfredo Lundy hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute Bobby Prutton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nigel Hill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garstang AFC's Nigel Hill proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Garstang AFC from getting a goal against them. Tobiasz Karaszkiewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Nigel Hill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nigel Hill made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Reinaldo Varela sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute, Tobiasz Karaszkiewicz made a precise shot to the right of Nigel Hill. Garstang AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Richard Herlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nigel Hill didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Rawdon FC's Tobiasz Karaszkiewicz shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 11-0 in the ordered_time% minute.
