A well-hit corner resulted in Derek Findley heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Neil Deacon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen Hopker having to interfere. Intrusive Thoughts's Owen Hopker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil Deacon in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the Intrusive Thoughts defense, Eddie Wittingham kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Owen Hopker. The Intrusive Thoughts fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Owen Hopker should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Intrusive Thoughts's goal looked a bit too open when Neil Deacon came free, but Owen Hopker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Owen Hopker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gara Wah went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the game, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Derek Findley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Owen Hopker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Eddie Wittingham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Owen Hopker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute Derek Findley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Owen Hopker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie Wittingham in the 33rd minute of play forced Intrusive Thoughts's goalkeeper Owen Hopker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Owen Hopker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Derek Findley, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute, Tommy Boyce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Owen Hopker was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Eddie Wittingham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Derek Findley slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Owen Hopker. That made the score 0-6 after 55 minutes of play. Intrusive Thoughts's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Derek Findley scored to the left of an out of position Owen Hopker, making the score, 0-7. Gara Wah did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-8 to the left of a surprised Owen Hopker 61 minutes into the match. Tommy Boyce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Owen Hopker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derek Findley in the 67th minute of play. Owen Hopker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgil Van in the 70th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Eddie Wittingham rounded Intrusive Thoughts's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-10. Owen Hopker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Neil Deacon went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-11 was the resulting score.
