Hjálmtýr Benjamínsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Per Axelsson went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 14thth minute of the game Marsellíus Hásteinsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anтicα Cidαdєlα's Eiríkur Agnarsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Burkni Styrmisson hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Otti Tryggvason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hjálmtýr Benjamínsson having to interfere. Marsellíus Hásteinsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Þórhaddur Alfreðsson charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Þórhaddur Alfreðsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Þórhaddur Alfreðsson kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Per Axelsson's late challenge caught a Retro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Per Axelsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute, Per Axelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Retro's goalkeeper Hjálmtýr Benjamínsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Retro's Hjálmtýr Benjamínsson got control of the ball when Otti Tryggvason tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 34 minutes, Játgeir Pétursson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Retro and the Anтicα Cidαdєlα players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Retro getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Játgeir Pétursson hit a great ball. If Otti Tryggvason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Retro's goalkeeper Hjálmtýr Benjamínsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otti Tryggvason. An unexpectedly hard shot by Játgeir Pétursson in the 40th minute of play forced Anтicα Cidαdєlα's goalkeeper Eiríkur Agnarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Játgeir Pétursson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Eiríkur Agnarsson was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Játgeir Pétursson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Játgeir Pétursson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Otti Tryggvason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Per Axelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hjálmtýr Benjamínsson having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Retro's goal looked a bit too open when Otti Tryggvason came free, but Hjálmtýr Benjamínsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Otti Tryggvason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hjálmtýr Benjamínsson came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Anтicα Cidαdєlα's Burkni Styrmisson. But to his dismay, Burkni Styrmisson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Marsellíus Hásteinsson kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Hjálmtýr Benjamínsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Otti Tryggvason's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Hjálmtýr Benjamínsson came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Anтicα Cidαdєlα's Per Axelsson. But to his dismay, Per Axelsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Anтicα Cidαdєlα walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
