Spectators: 7709 (Terracing: 5783, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nökkvi Nikulásarson started the match with the kick off. Nikolas Lúðvíksson struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Mörður Hlynsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kórall Grenivík. A collision led to Kórall Grenivík getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Einvarður Valsson hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Júlían Ísólfsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kórall Grenivík's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlían Ísólfsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mörður Hlynsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mörður Hlynsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikolas Lúðvíksson in the 13th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Nikolas Lúðvíksson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kórall Grenivík's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nikolas Lúðvíksson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nökkvi Nikulásarson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlían Ísólfsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mörður Hlynsson came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Kórall Grenivík's Nikolas Lúðvíksson. But to his dismay, Nikolas Lúðvíksson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Mörður Hlynsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nikolas Lúðvíksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikolas Lúðvíksson scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mörður Hlynsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Júlían Ísólfsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 minutes of play, Kórall Grenivík's Nikolas Lúðvíksson made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mörður Hlynsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Grétar Eðvarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The long shot by Oddleifur Unnsteinsson in the 48th minute really tested Oliver Dagsson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Júlían Ísólfsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Einvarður Valsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nökkvi Nikulásarson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Júlían Ísólfsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mörður Hlynsson. The goal made the score 0-4. Kórall Grenivík's Júlían Ísólfsson got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mörður Hlynsson made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Júlían Ísólfsson sent off a good shot on target. Nikolas Lúðvíksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Mörður Hlynsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FENERBAHÇE FC's Mörður Hlynsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlían Ísólfsson in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to Kórall Grenivík getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ljótur Geraldsson hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, Nökkvi Nikulásarson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mörður Hlynsson made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Nikolas Lúðvíksson sent off a good shot on target. Júlían Ísólfsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mörður Hlynsson having to make a save. With his leg Mörður Hlynsson managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Kórall Grenivík's Nikolas Lúðvíksson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Júlían Ísólfsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mörður Hlynsson having to interfere. Kórall Grenivík's Júlían Ísólfsson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 93rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Júlían Ísólfsson charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júlían Ísólfsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FENERBAHÇE FC booed when Kórall Grenivík was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlían Ísólfsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Kórall Grenivík could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FENERBAHÇE FC throughout the match.
