Spectators: 6789 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1789, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sírus Sveinlaugsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Hjörtur Eilífsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Djásn's Óttar Hreinsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sírus Sveinlaugsson in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Hjörtur Eilífsson notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Djásn's Óttar Hreinsson. Óttar Hreinsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sæbergur Orrason hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. When Hjörtur Eilífsson came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Meba Vík fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hjörtur Eilífsson couldn't finish the play. If Sírus Sveinlaugsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th match minute, Djásn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Þórörn Elvarsson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 31 minutes, Hjörtur Eilífsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meba Vík's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hjörtur Eilífsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sírus Sveinlaugsson took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Óttar Hreinsson. Óttar Hreinsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A collision led to Meba Vík getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Sæbergur Orrason hit a great ball. Hjörtur Eilífsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Óttar Hreinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Óttar Hreinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sírus Sveinlaugsson in the 43rd minute of play. Sírus Sveinlaugsson took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Óttar Hreinsson. Óttar Hreinsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Sírus Sveinlaugsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meba Vík's supporters rose to their feet, but Sírus Sveinlaugsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Óttar Hreinsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sírus Sveinlaugsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Óttar Hreinsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sírus Sveinlaugsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Flórent Örvarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristleifur Gunnsteinsson having to interfere. Elberg Gunnarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After having played for 72 minutes, Hjörtur Eilífsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meba Vík's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hjörtur Eilífsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hjörtur Eilífsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kristleifur Gunnsteinsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 minutes of play, Djásn's Barði Samúelsson made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kristleifur Gunnsteinsson was left in no man's land by his defense there!
