Elínmundur Vignisson scored 1-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Metúsalem Dagfinnsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 22nd minute, Styrbjörn Sverrisson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sigurgestur Valbergsson didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when KS Hellu's Hólmar Dagbjartsson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Styrbjörn Sverrisson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Sigurgestur Valbergsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sigurgestur Valbergsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Styrbjörn Sverrisson in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Styrbjörn Sverrisson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sigurgestur Valbergsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Styrbjörn Sverrisson in the 70th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Falgeir Dagsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Styrbjörn Sverrisson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Heiðmar Konráðsson during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Styrbjörn Sverrisson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hólmar Dagbjartsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Styrbjörn Sverrisson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sigurgestur Valbergsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Styrbjörn Sverrisson, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Brák Vopnafirði's goalkeeper Sigurgestur Valbergsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
