Spectators: 10921 (Terracing: 8193, Seating: 2511, VIP seats: 217) Akranes's Gong Yuan Zheng started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Kolbeinn Björnsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Akranes's Gong Yuan Zheng in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pogoń Siedlce's goalie prevented a goal. In the 11th minute Hulki Okyanus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Bjarkason saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 13 minutes, Glói Emilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Akranes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glói Emilsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mjölnir Vilmarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pogoń Siedlce's zone, Gong Yuan Zheng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Bjarkason came out of the goal and Gong Yuan Zheng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, Pogoń Siedlce's goal looked a bit too open when Gong Yuan Zheng came free, but Jan Bjarkason reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21stth minute of the game Gong Yuan Zheng who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pogoń Siedlce's Jan Bjarkason was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Pogoń Siedlce defense, Gong Yuan Zheng kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan Bjarkason. The Pogoń Siedlce fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan Bjarkason should have stopped the shot. Rúben Baugsson took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean Viana. Jean Viana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 33rd minute Eymar Ernirsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eymar Ernirsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Gong Yuan Zheng's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Bjarkason read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Gong Yuan Zheng scored 1-3 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Bjarkason, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Pogoń Siedlce's Eymar Ernirsson got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 44th minute Hringur Hallbjörnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hringur Hallbjörnsson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jean Viana came out and tried to block the shot, but Hringur Hallbjörnsson slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Rúben Baugsson made the kick off in the second half. Akranes's Jean Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rúben Baugsson in the 51st minute of play. Jean Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hringur Hallbjörnsson in the 53rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gong Yuan Zheng got free with Jan Bjarkason in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zenon Zapolski hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Jean Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eymar Ernirsson in the 62nd minute of play. Pogoń Siedlce's Jan Bjarkason played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gong Yuan Zheng in the 63rd minute of play. Jean Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hringur Hallbjörnsson in the 67th minute of play. In the 71st minute Gong Yuan Zheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Bjarkason saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gong Yuan Zheng in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Bjarkason saved Pogoń Siedlce from getting behind. Gong Yuan Zheng who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Jan Bjarkason when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gong Yuan Zheng in the 80th minute of play forced Pogoń Siedlce's goalkeeper Jan Bjarkason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th match minute, Akranes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zenon Zapolski to maneuver through the defense. Jean Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eymar Ernirsson in the 89th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Akranes had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
