A wasted opportunity for Ballynagall. In the 9th minute, Ballynagall's Rowan Callaghan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rowan Callaghan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ballynagall protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rowan Callaghan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 9 played minutes Ballynagall got a freekick which was hit by Rowan Callaghan. The audience was convinced that Bevin Ryan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Suibhne Lavine was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. In the 16th match minute, Lisclamer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gordan Walker to maneuver through the defense. Ballynagall's Suibhne Matthews got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Lisclamer's goal looked a bit too open when Torrey McAaron came free, but Brede McTommy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Suibhne Lavine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bevin Ryan, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Bevin Ryan scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Suibhne Lavine, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Suibhne Matthews who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Brede McTommy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Brede McTommy managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Ballynagall's Suibhne Matthews fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Suibhne Matthews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Suibhne Lavine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brecc McPeter in the 39th minute of play. Lisclamer's Brede McTommy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Lisclamer from getting a goal against them. Lisclamer's Bevin Ryan got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brede McTommy made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Suibhne Matthews sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Suibhne Matthews stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Ballynagall's goalkeeper Suibhne Lavine had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roordan Todd. Suibhne Lavine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roordan Todd in the 53rd minute of the match. Suibhne Matthews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brede McTommy having to interfere. Suibhne Matthews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Lisclamer booed when Ballynagall was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bec Byrne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ballynagall's Suibhne Lavine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brecc McPeter in the 69th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Lisclamer got a freekick which was hit by Roordan Todd. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roordan Todd got free with Suibhne Lavine in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute of the match, Roordan Todd got a very nice opportunity to score, but Suibhne Lavine was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Torrey McAaron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brede McTommy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Suibhne Matthews, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Suibhne Lavine made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felim Callaghan in the 85th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brecc McPeter in the 86th minute of play forced Ballynagall's goalkeeper Suibhne Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Lisclamer's Bevin Ryan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Suibhne Lavine. Suibhne Lavine yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. 94 minutes into the match, Ballynagall's goal looked a bit too open when Roordan Todd came free, but Suibhne Lavine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Lisclamer players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
