With a little luck, Creggolympry's Bannan MaCollin got control of the ball when Gearroid Lavine tried to sneak it across the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Herich Brennan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boleymount Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Creggolympry the free kick. Daithi Matthews walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Berkeley Myler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Creggolympry's supporters rose to their feet, but Berkeley Myler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breen Harkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shey McBrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Boleymount Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shey McBrand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Berkeley Myler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herich Brennan was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Boleymount Utd:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Creggolympry:s goal. Breen Harkin went to the wrong direction when Brennen Coyle was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 83rd minute of the match, Donegal Jameson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Breen Harkin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Donegal Jameson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breen Harkin having to interfere. After 89 minutes of play, Boleymount Utd's Gearroid Lavine made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bannan MaCollin was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Boleymount Utd's zone, Donegal Jameson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breen Harkin came out of the goal and Donegal Jameson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Berkeley Myler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Breen Harkin made a huge save.
