Spectators: 6768 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Phelan Johnson kicked off to start the match. Pearce Hutton charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pearce Hutton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Myrtlegrove got a freekick which was hit by Pearce Hutton. After a rather tough play, Myrtlegrove's Branigan McPhilip got a free kick in the 12th minute. Caroll Rutherford stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joshua Molloy's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. After 15 played minutes Myrtlegrove got a freekick which was hit by Renny Murphy . The audience thought a goal was coming when Liam Barrett got free with Torin Caffrey in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Liam Barrett struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Torin Caffrey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Myrtlegrove. In the 33rd minute Phelan Johnson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torin Caffrey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liam Barrett came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Torin Caffrey could save by the left post. Gearalt Lavine might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Caroll Rutherford. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gearalt Lavine ran back to his position shaking his head. If Gearalt Lavine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gearalt Lavine to strike the kick off in the second half. Caroll Rutherford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joshua Molloy in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd match minute, Myrtlegrove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phelan Johnson to maneuver through the defense. Gearalt Lavine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Caroll Rutherford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torin Caffrey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Phelan Johnson's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Phelan Johnson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torin Caffrey having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Ballykilleen's goal looked a bit too open when Phelan Johnson came free, but Torin Caffrey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caroll Rutherford made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joshua Molloy in the 67th minute. After a rather tough play, Ballykilleen's Perry Deery got a free kick in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Gearalt Lavine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballykilleen's supporters rose to their feet, but Gearalt Lavine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caroll Rutherford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th match minute, Myrtlegrove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renny Murphy to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 83 minutes, Joshua Molloy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballykilleen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joshua Molloy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Myrtlegrove's Caroll Rutherford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gearalt Lavine in the 84th minute of play. When Liam Barrett came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Myrtlegrove fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liam Barrett couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Ballykilleen getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Perry Deery hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
