Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bivadi Robinson took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Bren Quinnless had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Oldchapel getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Bivadi Robinson hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Bivadi Robinson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brenda O'Keefe was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 17th minute of the match, Bren Quinnless got a very nice opportunity to score, but Brenda O'Keefe was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A hard shot 18 in the game by Bren Quinnless from a close distance when the talented Brenda O'Keefe managed to make a qualified save. Killbarly FC's players were relieved. Brenda O'Keefe came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Oldchapel's Bren Quinnless. But to his dismay, Bren Quinnless quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The supporters of Killbarly FC booed when Oldchapel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Piers Gough didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Killbarly FC's Herich O'Keefe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Conor Beckett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th minute Joshua Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brenda O'Keefe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Oldchapel's Brenda O'Keefe threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bivadi Robinson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Bradner Gallagher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Killbarly FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bradner Gallagher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conor Beckett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 41 minutes into the match, Killbarly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bivadi Robinson came free, but Brenda O'Keefe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bivadi Robinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herich O'Keefe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Oldchapel getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Joshua Murphy hit a great ball. When Desmond McAaron fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Killbarly FC's protests and gave Desmond McAaron a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Desmond McAaron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brak Dillon, 56 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bivadi McWilliam charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bivadi McWilliam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Oldchapel booed when Killbarly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bivadi McWilliam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brenda O'Keefe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bivadi Robinson in the 61st minute of play. Bren Quinnless recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Oldchapel's Bivadi Robinson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brenda O'Keefe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bivadi Robinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Brenda O'Keefe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Killbarly FC's Benedict McNamara shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 81st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Conor Beckett but with some difficulty. Conor Beckett made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Bradner Gallagher sent off a good shot on target. After 84 played minutes Oldchapel got a freekick which was hit by Scott Perth. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 87th minute, but Conor Beckett got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Oldchapel hanging dry this time. Brenda O'Keefe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bivadi Robinson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Killbarly FC's Brenda O'Keefe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bivadi Robinson in the 92nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bivadi Robinson in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brenda O'Keefe saved Killbarly FC from getting behind. 95 minutes into the game, Oldchapel's Bivadi Robinson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brenda O'Keefe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Oldchapel were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Killbarly FC for a fine match.
