Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Oldchapel's zone, Baptist Tierney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conor Beckett came out of the goal and Baptist Tierney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute Bivadi Robinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendann McBrand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Darrick McFrancise threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ballyline's Donncha Cronin quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 18 minutes, Joshua Murphy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oldchapel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joshua Murphy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reamann Coyle got free with Brendann McBrand in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joshua Murphy might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brendann McBrand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joshua Murphy ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 27th minute, Oldchapel's Bivadi Robinson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brendann McBrand. Brendann McBrand yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Baptist Tierney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ballyline getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Donncha Cronin hit a great ball. Reamann Coyle hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Brendann McBrand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bivadi Robinson in the 43rd minute of the match. A collision led to Ballyline getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Donncha Cronin hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baptist Tierney stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the game, Oldchapel's Bivadi Robinson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brendann McBrand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Bren Quinnless scored 3-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brendann McBrand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Bivadi Robinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baptist Tierney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ballyline's Brendann McBrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joshua Murphy in the 85th minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Joshua Murphy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oldchapel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joshua Murphy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ballyline's Donncha Cronin quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Darrick McFrancise, made in the 89th minute of the game. In the 90th match minute, Oldchapel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darrick McFrancise to maneuver through the defense. Many of Ballyline's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ballyline may have spent more time on the ball, but Oldchapel were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
