Spectators: 7693 (Terracing: 5771, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Calfstown's Sherlock Kelly started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Duff Scully mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glannagaul and the Calfstown players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Duff Scully hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Birr Crowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13thth minute of the game Breffni Dillon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Calfstown's Basil McPhilip was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Calfstown's goal looked a bit too open when Breffni Dillon came free, but Basil McPhilip reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bearnard Martyn kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Calfstown's Birr Crowe got a free kick in the 18th minute. Basil McPhilip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quirk Todd in the 20th minute of play. Braoin McStephen made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Birr Crowe sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Calfstown's zone, Ryleigh Dimson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basil McPhilip came out of the goal and Ryleigh Dimson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Glannagaul's Breffni Dillon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Basil McPhilip narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Rollan Murphy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner ended in Taveon Beckett almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Calfstown's Basil McPhilip did a great save. In the 30th match minute, Calfstown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breannain Byrne to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Calfstown's zone, Quirk Todd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basil McPhilip came out of the goal and Quirk Todd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Breffni Dillon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Basil McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Calfstown's Basil McPhilip played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breffni Dillon in the 39th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 53rd minute, Quirk Todd reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Basil McPhilip. The goal made the score 0-1. Quirk Todd who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Basil McPhilip when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 62 played minutes Calfstown got a freekick which was hit by Rollan Murphy. When Breffni Dillon came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Glannagaul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Breffni Dillon couldn't finish the play. When Breannain Byrne fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Calfstown's protests and gave Breannain Byrne a yellow card for diving instead. Breannain Byrne kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 66th minute, but Basil McPhilip got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Calfstown hanging dry this time. Breffni Dillon succeeded in the game's 68th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Glannagaul's Quirk Todd got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Basil McPhilip made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Quirk Todd sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Birr Crowe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calfstown's supporters rose to their feet, but Birr Crowe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braoin McStephen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Calfstown booed when Glannagaul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duff Scully didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sherlock Kelly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Basil McPhilip made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ryleigh Dimson in the 87th minute. Basil McPhilip was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Breffni Dillon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 89 minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Calfstown's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Quirk Todd fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Glannagaul supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Glannagaul would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
