Harry McNamara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berrigan McVictor, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Berrigan McVictor scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Harry McNamara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lismore FC's Doney Taylor got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berrigan McVictor in the 17th minute of play forced Drommartin AFC's goalkeeper Harry McNamara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Bat McWilliam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph McLian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Briain Grant could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Joseph McLian made a huge save. Bat McWilliam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph McLian having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Briain Grant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 32 minutes, Bat McWilliam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drommartin AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bat McWilliam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Berrigan McVictor struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Harry McNamara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lismore FC. Bat McWilliam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doney Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The wind increased when Bat McWilliam made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Doney Taylor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lismore FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doney Taylor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doney Taylor in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harry McNamara saved Drommartin AFC from getting behind. If Bat McWilliam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Doney Taylor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harry McNamara was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. The supporters of Lismore FC booed when Drommartin AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basil Matthews didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Drommartin AFC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Brendanus Sheridan hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Drommartin AFC's zone, Benedict McCollion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry McNamara came out of the goal and Benedict McCollion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lismore FC's Doney Taylor got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Russ Cooney hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Doney Taylor struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Harry McNamara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lismore FC. A collision led to Drommartin AFC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Basil Matthews hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berrigan McVictor got free with Harry McNamara in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bresal Lavine kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Lismore FC were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Drommartin AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Benedict McCollion took the corner. The Drommartin AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lismore FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Lismore FC.
