Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Laban's Tyrone Murphy started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Bragain Caffrey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bran Quinnless saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Patton McCollion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Nolen Keegan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crookstown's supporters rose to their feet, but Nolen Keegan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fachtna Savic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Crookstown's Bran Quinnless played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyrone Murphy in the 15th minute of play. Bragain Caffrey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bran Quinnless having to interfere. Bran Quinnless took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyrone Murphy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lewy McBrand lost his temper 23 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Lewy McBrand hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Brant Costello could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Fachtna Savic made a huge save. Danann Duggan charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danann Duggan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Crookstown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danann Duggan to maneuver through the defense. Bragain Caffrey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Crookstown's zone, Tyrone Murphy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bran Quinnless came out of the goal and Tyrone Murphy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Crookstown's goal looked a bit too open when Bragain Caffrey came free, but Bran Quinnless reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Laban's Tyrone Murphy in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Crookstown's goalie prevented a goal. In the 42nd match minute, Crookstown was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brant Costello to maneuver through the defense. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Royan Branson was the one to do the kick off. Tyrone Murphy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Bran Quinnless tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tyrone Murphy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bran Quinnless having to interfere. Laban's Fachtna Savic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brant Costello in the 62nd minute of play. Bran Quinnless made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyrone Murphy in the 63rd minute of play. With his leg Bran Quinnless managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Laban's Tyrone Murphy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 65th minute Brant Costello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fachtna Savic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, one of Crookstown:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Crookstown. 0-1 came through a penalty shot after 69 played minutes, when Laban:s Coran McSteven calmly waited for Crookstown:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. In the 77th minute, Brant Costello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tyrone Murphy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fachtna Savic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boylan Glen Crowe, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute, Rory McBrandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Crookstown's goalkeeper Bran Quinnless, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bran Quinnless showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bragain Caffrey in the 94th minute of the match. Brant Costello hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Laban's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
