Spectators: 6794 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1794, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Laban booed when Lismore FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seoirse Savic didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute, Bragain Caffrey left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laban fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Tyrone Murphy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joseph McLian having to make a save. Taveon McJohn's late challenge caught a Laban's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Taveon McJohn helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute, Emmet Kirby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joseph McLian stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bragain Caffrey's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bragain Caffrey in the 24th minute of play forced Lismore FC's goalkeeper Joseph McLian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 minutes, Bragain Caffrey made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Lismore FC's Joseph McLian tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fachtna Savic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doney Taylor in the 31st minute of the match. Joseph McLian came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Laban's Coran McSteven. But to his dismay, Coran McSteven quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Joseph McLian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bragain Caffrey, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Joseph McLian came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Laban's Bragain Caffrey. But to his dismay, Bragain Caffrey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 46thth minute of the game Tyrone Murphy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lismore FC's Joseph McLian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lismore FC's zone, Bragain Caffrey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joseph McLian came out of the goal and Bragain Caffrey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Tyrone Murphy made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Benedict McCollion mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lismore FC and the Laban players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, one of Lismore FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lismore FC. Lismore FC:s Joseph McLian showed great skill when he stopped Coran McSteven:s penalty. When Bragain Caffrey came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Laban fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bragain Caffrey couldn't finish the play. Bragain Caffrey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph McLian having to interfere. If Bragain Caffrey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Bragain Caffrey took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Joseph McLian to make any attempt to save it. Bragain Caffrey might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joseph McLian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bragain Caffrey ran back to his position shaking his head. Tyrone Murphy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Bragain Caffrey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lismore FC's Joseph McLian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bragain Caffrey in the 72nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Tyrone Murphy could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Joseph McLian however easily saved by the left post. Tyrone Murphy's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joseph McLian firmly grabbed it by the left post. Joseph McLian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bragain Caffrey, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Bragain Caffrey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joseph McLian having to make a save. 90 minutes into the game, Laban's Tyrone Murphy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joseph McLian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Bragain Caffrey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laban's supporters rose to their feet, but Bragain Caffrey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joseph McLian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Laban's Joseph McLian threw himself towards the right post 97 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bragain Caffrey, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Laban's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
