Spectators: 6766 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Robert Dempsey kicked off to start the match. Lismore FC's Joseph McLian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Dempsey in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doney Taylor in the 7th minute of play forced Ballyteige Utd's goalkeeper Troy McPhilip to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doney Taylor might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Troy McPhilip. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doney Taylor ran back to his position shaking his head. Donoghue Sheridan charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donoghue Sheridan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Ballyteige Utd got a freekick which was hit by Donoghue Sheridan. 13 minutes into the game, Lismore FC's Doney Taylor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Troy McPhilip made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Troy McPhilip showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doney Taylor in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Doney Taylor notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ballyteige Utd's Troy McPhilip. Troy McPhilip was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute, Ballyteige Utd's Séamus O'Keefe ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joseph McLian. Joseph McLian yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. 34 minutes into the game, Doney Taylor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Troy McPhilip was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Troy McPhilip took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doney Taylor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 played minutes Lismore FC got a freekick which was hit by Seoirse Savic.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Doney Taylor made a kick off. Joseph McLian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Dempsey in the 56th minute of play. If Berrigan McVictor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doney Taylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Troy McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th match minute, Lismore FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Russ Cooney to maneuver through the defense. Troy McPhilip made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Berrigan McVictor sent off a good shot on target. Bairthmead Ghee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Troy McPhilip showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taveon McJohn in the 84th minute of the match. Seoirse Savic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Troy McPhilip tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doney Taylor blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Troy McPhilip having to make a save. In the 91st minute, Lismore FC's Doney Taylor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lismore FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
