Beacan McLaughlin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Riley Coyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Logan Scully tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Ballynagore AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Kevis McMichel came free, but Logan Scully reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ballynagore AFC's Logan Scully proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Ballynagore AFC from getting a goal against them. Rowe McLiam kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 17 minutes, Gordon Rogers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballynagore AFC and the Ballyshane players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gordon Rogers kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After having played for 20 minutes, Kevis McMichel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballyshane's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kevis McMichel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ballynagore AFC's zone, Riley Coyle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Logan Scully came out of the goal and Riley Coyle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kevis McMichel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan Scully having to interfere. If Kevis McMichel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Ballynagore AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Riley Coyle fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cathal Taylor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beacan McLaughlin having to interfere. Ros Caffey's late challenge caught a Ballynagore AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ros Caffey helped the player get up and apologised. Ros Caffey hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute Flann Ryan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beacan McLaughlin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kevis McMichel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Ballynagore AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cathal Taylor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballynagore AFC's goalkeeper Logan Scully, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Logan Scully showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Riley Coyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballyshane's goalkeeper Beacan McLaughlin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Brendon Cronin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 60 minutes into the match. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ballynagore AFC! Logan Scully had in the 61stth minute some difficulties stopping Balor Caffey's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Ballynagore AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Riley Coyle came free, but Logan Scully reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Riley Coyle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Logan Scully was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Flann Ryan struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Beacan McLaughlin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballynagore AFC. When Ballyshane's Kevis McMichel in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballynagore AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Riley Coyle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rowe McLiam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ballyshane booed when Ballynagore AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rowe McLiam didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Breen Cassin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the game, Ballyshane's Kevis McMichel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Logan Scully made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 93 minutes into the match, Ballynagore AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Riley Coyle came free, but Logan Scully reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Ballyshane's Kevis McMichel fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ballynagore AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
