After 13 minutes of play, Rams Town's Gilbeirt Doyle made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bevan Rutherford was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bevan Rutherford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbeirt Doyle in the 17th minute of the match. Rams Town's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Glenn Gallagher 21 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Becc Mullan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Nestor Nerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glenn Gallagher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Nerio having to interfere. In the 27th minute Carson McFrancise suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Babe Willson fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garrykonnedy's protests and gave Babe Willson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Garrykonnedy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Babe Willson to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Garrykonnedy's zone, Rollin McVictor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bevan Rutherford came out of the goal and Rollin McVictor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the match, Rams Town's goalkeeper Nestor Nerio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Becc Mullan. 39 minutes into the match, Garrykonnedy's goal looked a bit too open when Casey Gallagher came free, but Bevan Rutherford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Glenn Gallagher fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nestor Nerio, passed just outside the right post. In the 46th minute Glenn Gallagher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Nerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rollin McVictor to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Leon Perth was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rollin McVictor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bevan Rutherford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Conan Robinson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Casey Gallagher in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bevan Rutherford saved Garrykonnedy from getting behind. Nestor Nerio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Becc Mullan went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. If Gilbeirt Doyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Rams Town's zone, Becc Mullan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Nerio came out of the goal and Becc Mullan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rams Town players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Garrykonnedy.
