Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Glenn Gallagher made the kick off which started today's match. Banon Ghee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn Gallagher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Garrykonnedy's Glenn Gallagher in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cloghroe's Banon Ghee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Gallagher in the 13th minute of play. Auley Grant hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Bevan Rutherford made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Auley Grant sent off a good shot on target. 27 minutes into the game, Conaill McNamara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bevan Rutherford. Conaill McNamara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Garrykonnedy's Bevan Rutherford proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Garrykonnedy from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Cloghroe's Bevan Rutherford threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Conaill McNamara, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, Garrykonnedy's Bevan Rutherford got control of the ball when Auley Grant tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute, Leon Perth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Garrykonnedy's Becc Mullan got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Conaill McNamara to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Conaill McNamara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bevan Rutherford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bevan Rutherford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conaill McNamara, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Auley Grant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the game, Glenn Gallagher recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Banon Ghee. Glenn Gallagher showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Becc Mullan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Banon Ghee having to interfere. Donan Walker charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donan Walker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cloghroe getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Donan Walker hit a great ball. Becc Mullan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Becc Mullan made a precise shot to the right of Banon Ghee. Cloghroe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Garrykonnedy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
