Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Shea Moran started the match with the kick off. Dundalk FC's Joshua Johnson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Dundalk FC from getting a goal against them. Joshua Johnson came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Cavetown's Shea Moran. But to his dismay, Shea Moran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Bradley Palmer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joshua Johnson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Bevan Martyn sped through Cavetown's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bivadi Caffey. Bivadi Caffey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bevan Martyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dundalk FC were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Cavetown's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Auley Taylor took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Auley Taylor got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bivadi Caffey quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bevan Martyn in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bivadi Caffey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Donahue McAlphie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ryley Mullan came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Dundalk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryley Mullan couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bevan Martyn to make the kick off. A collision led to Dundalk FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Auley Taylor hit a great ball. Terrence Johnson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joshua Johnson. Dundalk FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bradley Palmer took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joshua Johnson. Joshua Johnson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Joshua Johnson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shea Moran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beairtle Rutherford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bivadi Caffey having to interfere. Beairtle Rutherford's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bivadi Caffey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Bivadi Caffey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bevan Martyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute Shea Moran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joshua Johnson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bivadi Caffey made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Bevan Martyn sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute of the match Trien Cassin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joshua Johnson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
