Pearse Willson started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Alfred McDonald got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Alfred McDonald sped through GKS Tychy Patriots's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bressail Byrne. Colmcille Gough showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin McOliver in the 10th minute of the match. Alfred McDonald could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Bressail Byrne made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Kelly in the 14th minute of play forced GKS Tychy Patriots's goalkeeper Bressail Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pearse Willson fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GKS Tychy Patriots's protests and gave Pearse Willson a yellow card for diving instead. Pearse Willson hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Patrick Kelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bressail Byrne having to interfere. Pierce Tierney kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Alfred McDonald was extremely unlucky when he, in the 22nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Patrick Kelly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfred McDonald struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Bressail Byrne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castle Celtic. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfred McDonald got free with Bressail Byrne in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Robin McOliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 33 minutes, Pearse Willson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GKS Tychy Patriots's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pearse Willson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Colmcille Gough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin McOliver in the 35th minute of play. After 37 minutes Castle Celtic's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Torey Mullan who took care of the corner kick. The corner led GKS Tychy Patriots's Ricard McPhil to fire away a dangerous shot which Colmcille Gough despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Robin McOliver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colmcille Gough having to interfere. After having played for 48 minutes, Robin McOliver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GKS Tychy Patriots's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin McOliver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrick Kelly was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred McDonald in the 57th minute of play forced GKS Tychy Patriots's goalkeeper Bressail Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Boyd McTommy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Castle Celtic's Colmcille Gough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pearse Willson in the 69th minute of play. Robin McOliver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 played minutes Castle Celtic got a freekick which was hit by Branagain Bayes. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for GKS Tychy Patriots! In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Castle Celtic. Douglas Ramsey stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bressail Byrne. 2-0. In the 80th match minute, Castle Celtic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bec Willson to maneuver through the defense. Boyd McTommy kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Colmcille Gough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pearse Willson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes in the game, Pearse Willson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Colmcille Gough having to interfere. Bressail Byrne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patrick Kelly's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Alfred McDonald took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bressail Byrne. Bressail Byrne dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0.
