After a defensive mix-up in FC Rosports's zone, Alfred McDonald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artt Ryan came out of the goal and Alfred McDonald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 12 minutes into the match, Castle Celtic's goal looked a bit too open when Briony McDecland came free, but Colmcille Gough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick Kelly in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artt Ryan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17thth minute of the game Patrick Kelly who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Rosports's Artt Ryan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Rosports's Artt Ryan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred McDonald in the 20th minute of play. When Buach Robinson came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the FC Rosports fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Buach Robinson couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute Briony McDecland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Colmcille Gough saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keely Hamilton in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Colmcille Gough, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

52 minutes into the match, Tiarnan McVictor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Colmcille Gough. Castle Celtic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiarnan McVictor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 58th minute Bec Willson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artt Ryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colmcille Gough showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keely Hamilton in the 59th minute of the match. Buach Robinson's late challenge caught a Castle Celtic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Buach Robinson helped the player get up and apologised. FC Rosports's Artt Ryan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save FC Rosports from getting a goal against them. Alfred McDonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, one of FC Rosports:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Douglas Ramsey walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a rather tough play, FC Rosports's Buach Robinson got a free kick in the 75th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Patrick Kelly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castle Celtic's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Kelly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artt Ryan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patrick Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Artt Ryan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Briony McDecland fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Rosports's protests and gave Briony McDecland a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Douglas Ramsey sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Rosports's Artt Ryan didn't even have to move. In the 92nd minute Patrick Kelly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artt Ryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Castle Celtic players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Rosports.
