Alexander McDecland stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bragain McTommy's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hedgetown's zone, Adamnan Holt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander McDecland came out of the goal and Adamnan Holt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bragain McTommy to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Hedgetown's goal looked a bit too open when Bragain McTommy came free, but Alexander McDecland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phelan Beckett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Adamnan Holt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Clonkirk's goal looked a bit too open when Blaine Delaney came free, but Herne McPhilip reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Declan Jameson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 minutes of play, Clonkirk's Bragain McTommy made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The audience held their breath when Bearchan Cooney in the 74th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Alexander McDecland's left hand side. In the 76th minute, Adamnan Holt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blaine Delaney in the 80th minute of play forced Clonkirk's goalkeeper Herne McPhilip to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Clonkirk's protests and gave Bragain McTommy a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hedgetown booed when Clonkirk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bragain McTommy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 minutes of play, Clonkirk's Adamnan Holt made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander McDecland was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexander McDecland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adamnan Holt in the 94th minute. The supporters of Hedgetown booed when Clonkirk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Declan Jameson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Hedgetown fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Clonkirk were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
