Oliver Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Louie Savic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot by Ryan Kelly from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Louie Savic's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Oliver Kelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aengus Moran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Louie Savic having to make a save. After 18 played minutes Leixlip United F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Henry McIan. After some careless play in the Leixlip United F.C. defense, Aengus Moran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Louie Savic. The Leixlip United F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Louie Savic should have stopped the shot. In the 23rd match minute, Leixlip United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry McIan to maneuver through the defense. When Oliver Kelly got free in front of the goal in the 27th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Louie Savic was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Breslin Callaghan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breslin Callaghan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rylee Dalton having to interfere. Aengus Moran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aengus Moran kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 48thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Leixlip United F.C.'s keeper Louie Savic was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oliver Kelly stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oliver Kelly struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Louie Savic didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cregganbaun. After 52 played minutes Leixlip United F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Henry McIan. In the 53rd minute, Oliver Kelly made a precise shot to the right of Louie Savic. Leixlip United F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Leixlip United F.C.'s Louie Savic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Kelly in the 64th minute of play. Louie Savic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Kelly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oliver Kelly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Kelly in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Louie Savic saved Leixlip United F.C. from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Leixlip United F.C.'s zone, Rory Dimson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Louie Savic came out of the goal and Rory Dimson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brickeen Holt's late challenge caught a Leixlip United F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brickeen Holt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cregganbaun getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Brickeen Holt hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Breslin Callaghan in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rylee Dalton saved Cregganbaun from getting behind. During the 86th minute of the match Brickeen Holt completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Brickeen Holt a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. When Cregganbaun's Aengus Moran in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leixlip United F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Aengus Moran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
