The attack was good, but when Finnigan McJon in the 37th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 40 minutes into the match, Robin Deans notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Drink Team's Casey McJohn. Casey McJohn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Drink Team's zone, Finnigan McJon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casey McJohn came out of the goal and Finnigan McJon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Conn McStephen to make the kick off. If Robin Deans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Drink Team's zone, Robin Deans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casey McJohn came out of the goal and Robin Deans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 63 minutes into the game, Robin Deans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Casey McJohn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bell Dempsey hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Breandan Savic hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Drink Team's goal looked a bit too open when Finnigan McJon came free, but Casey McJohn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robin Deans might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Casey McJohn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robin Deans ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Robin Deans got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 80thth minute of the game Finnigan McJon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Drink Team's Casey McJohn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Finnigan McJon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casey McJohn was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. In the 83rd minute, Drink Team's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Finnigan McJon fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Drink Team's Casey McJohn got control of the ball when Roland McNamara tried to sneak it across the goal line. glory fc's Finnigan McJon got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robin Deans didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-3 via right post in the game's 96th minute. glory fc's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! glory fc played a much better game than Drink Team and deserved their victory. The Drink Team players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
