Spectators: 8054 (Terracing: 6042, Seating: 1852, VIP seats: 160) After 2 played minutes Shamrock rovers got a freekick which was hit by Bryan Beckett. 5 minutes into the game, Oliver Doyle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Séamus John was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Donegan Costello made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Bran McWillie sent off a good shot on target. Donegan Costello was a little too slow when Bradain Mulvihill got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 16th minute, Ryon Martyn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 20 minutes of play, TheDaffyDuck's Ryon Martyn made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Séamus John was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliver Doyle in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Séamus John prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Donegan Costello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bran McWillie in the 26th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Shamrock rovers got a freekick which was hit by Brenna McMichel. Ryon Martyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Séamus John took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rian Ramsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Séamus John showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baiste Cassin, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Rian Ramsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bradain Mulvihill made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Torran Caffey notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of TheDaffyDuck's Donegan Costello. Donegan Costello was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Shamrock rovers's zone, Rian Ramsey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Séamus John came out of the goal and Rian Ramsey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Ryon Martyn managed to get in a good position for a shot. TheDaffyDuck's supporters rose to their feet, but Ryon Martyn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Séamus John breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torran Caffey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donegan Costello having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Shamrock rovers's goalkeeper Séamus John had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oliver Doyle. TheDaffyDuck's Donegan Costello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torran Caffey in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute Bran McWillie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donegan Costello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. TheDaffyDuck's Rian Ramsey got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bran McWillie charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bran McWillie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Shamrock rovers getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Bran McWillie hit a great ball. Baiste Cassin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Séamus John having to interfere. When Ryon Martyn came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the TheDaffyDuck fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryon Martyn couldn't finish the play. If Rian Ramsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Séamus John took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rian Ramsey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oliver Doyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donan Johnson scored 3-2 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donegan Costello, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 95 minutes, Ryon Martyn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TheDaffyDuck's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ryon Martyn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Many of TheDaffyDuck's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. TheDaffyDuck may have spent more time on the ball, but Shamrock rovers were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
