Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Baoithin Gough made the kick off which started today's match. Leansaghane's Gordan Horgan got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rahan Utd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Baoithin Gough scored to the left of an out of position Trevor Gallagher, making the score, 1-0. Gordan Horgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glenn Tierney got a throw-in 17 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cacey McWillie. Trevor Gallagher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baoithin Gough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baoithin Gough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trevor Gallagher having to interfere. Rahan Utd's Trevor Gallagher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Rahan Utd from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the game, Henry Callaghan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leansaghane's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rahan Utd the free kick. In the 41st match minute, Leansaghane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Callaghan to maneuver through the defense. Brian Johnson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cacey McWillie in the 42nd minute of play. Henry Callaghan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 47 minutes, Denny Caffey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leansaghane and the Rahan Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Leansaghane's Denny Caffey got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 61st minute, Baoithin Gough ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trevor Gallagher was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Trevor Gallagher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baoithin Gough, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Herygh Horgan thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Trevor Gallagher, a very annoying self made goal in the 74th minute which led to 3-0. Brian Johnson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bercnan McBrand in the 82nd minute of the match. Baoithin Gough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Trevor Gallagher having to make a save. Trevor Gallagher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baoithin Gough in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baoithin Gough in the 90th minute of play forced Rahan Utd's goalkeeper Trevor Gallagher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trevor Gallagher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baoithin Gough in the 93rd minute of the match. Gordan Horgan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Leansaghane fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rahan Utd had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
