Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Basil McPeter successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 10th minute Reidy McDonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basil McPeter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Killian Branson came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Boots To Asses fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Killian Branson couldn't finish the play. If Killian Branson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reidy McDonald in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basil McPeter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Connonagh booed when Boots To Asses was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Killian Branson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reidy McDonald in the 29th minute of play forced Connonagh's goalkeeper Basil McPeter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Killian Branson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Basil McPeter when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Killian Branson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Boots To Asses's Killian Branson got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaynor McNamee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodore McStephen having to interfere. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Boots To Asses's goalkeeper Theodore McStephen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Barcvni John in the 51st minute of play forced Boots To Asses's goalkeeper Theodore McStephen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Barcvni John came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Connonagh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barcvni John couldn't finish the play. In the 59th match minute, Connonagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bricin Delaney to maneuver through the defense. Killian Branson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil McPeter having to interfere. With a little luck, Boots To Asses's Theodore McStephen got control of the ball when Gaynor McNamee tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute Reidy McDonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basil McPeter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Boots To Asses's goal looked a bit too open when Barcvni John came free, but Theodore McStephen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Reidy McDonald ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basil McPeter was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Basil McPeter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Killian Branson in the 81st minute of play. Gaynor McNamee could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Theodore McStephen made a huge save. After recieving a nice pass, Connonagh's Donoghue Doyle tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Barcvni John recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 93rd minute by Barcvni John got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Killian Branson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Connonagh players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Boots To Asses.
