Brenainn Gollogley might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kieran Robinson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brenainn Gollogley ran back to his position shaking his head. Dante Ramirez struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Kieran Robinson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cloghjordan FC. With 7 minutes on the clock, Coran Kelly commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to Cloghjordan FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Coran Kelly hit a great ball. Brenainn Gollogley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Abbot Morrison had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. 12 minutes into the game, Phelan Barrett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cloghjordan FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilmanaheen AFC the free kick. In the 13th minute, Phelan Barrett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wojciech Tomporowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fiachra Moran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dante Ramirez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Kilmanaheen AFC's zone, Toran McDecland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kieran Robinson came out of the goal and Toran McDecland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cloghjordan FC booed when Kilmanaheen AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bairrionn McIan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toran McDecland's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kieran Robinson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. If Dante Ramirez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kieran Robinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toran McDecland in the 28th minute of play. Dante Ramirez struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. In the 35th minute, Diogo Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute, Coileán McCollion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 37 played minutes Cloghjordan FC got a freekick which was hit by Brenainn Gollogley. Kieran Robinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dante Ramirez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Dante Ramirez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kieran Robinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 minutes of play, Cloghjordan FC's Toran McDecland made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kieran Robinson was left in no man's land by his defense there! During the 47th minute of the match Bairrionn McIan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Bairrionn McIan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Kilmanaheen AFC's Bairrionn McIan got a free kick in the 48th minute. Cloghjordan FC's Criss Cross was substituted for Toran McDecland. After 49 played minutes Kilmanaheen AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bairrionn McIan. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Dante Ramirez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cloghjordan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dante Ramirez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kieran Robinson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Cloghjordan FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dante Ramirez to make the kick off. Dante Ramirez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bodibeve Matthews charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bodibeve Matthews the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kilmanaheen AFC booed when Cloghjordan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bodibeve Matthews didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kieran Robinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Criss Cross, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After having played for 75 minutes, Criss Cross managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cloghjordan FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Criss Cross was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diogo Falcão hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Cloghjordan FC's Criss Cross dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Cloghjordan FC played a much better game than Kilmanaheen AFC and deserved their victory. The Kilmanaheen AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
