Fergus Ryan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Ultan Prunty made a huge save. After having played for 23 minutes, Harley McGlenn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lurgan FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harley McGlenn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Bel McTom had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Torran Mulvihill. Anascaul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bel McTom was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 29th minute Quinn McBrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torran Mulvihill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Brefni Tierney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the game, Harley McGlenn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lurgan FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Anascaul the free kick. Torran Mulvihill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinn McBrand, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lurgan FC's Enda Tracy got a free kick in the 38th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brefni Tierney in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ultan Prunty prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bel McTom in the 54th minute of play forced Anascaul's goalkeeper Torran Mulvihill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brazil Harkin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 60 played minutes Anascaul got a freekick which was hit by Brefni Tierney. Bel McTom was extremely unlucky when he, in the 62nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Anascaul's Fergus Ryan got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anascaul's Torran Mulvihill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bel McTom in the 67th minute of play. Torran Mulvihill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bel McTom in the 68th minute of play. Torran Mulvihill made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Harley McGlenn sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Lurgan FC defense, Fergus Ryan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ultan Prunty. The Lurgan FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ultan Prunty should have stopped the shot. In the 81st minute, Boyne Rogers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lurgan FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 90 minutes into the match, Anascaul's goalkeeper Torran Mulvihill had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harley McGlenn.
