Spectators: 8006 (Terracing: 6006, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Donagh Walker took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some careless play in the Anascaul defense, Blathma Robinson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Torran Mulvihill. The Anascaul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Torran Mulvihill should have stopped the shot. Anascaul's Torran Mulvihill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donagh Walker in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Lavally was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lou Robinson to maneuver through the defense. Brazil Harkin kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Torran Mulvihill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donagh Walker in the 18th minute of play. Torran Mulvihill came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Lavally's Blathma Robinson. But to his dismay, Blathma Robinson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Donagh Walker took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Torran Mulvihill. Torran Mulvihill dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blathma Robinson in the 29th minute of play forced Anascaul's goalkeeper Torran Mulvihill to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Donagh Walker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torran Mulvihill read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Anascaul's goal looked a bit too open when Donagh Walker came free, but Torran Mulvihill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 played minutes Anascaul got a freekick which was hit by Brefni Tierney. Torran Mulvihill stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donagh Walker's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Torran Mulvihill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donagh Walker, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute Blathma Robinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torran Mulvihill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Donagh Walker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lavally fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. With 46 minutes on the clock, Patty McFrancise commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Patty McFrancise hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, Anascaul's goal looked a bit too open when Blathma Robinson came free, but Torran Mulvihill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fergus Ryan made a kick off. Donagh Walker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Torran Mulvihill tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fergus Ryan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torran Mulvihill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blathma Robinson, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Boland Grant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brefni Tierney helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Anascaul's Brefni Tierney got a free kick in the 74th minute. Donagh Walker came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Torran Mulvihill could save by the left post. After 87 minutes of play, Lavally's Blathma Robinson made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Torran Mulvihill was left in no man's land by his defense there! Donagh Walker who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Torran Mulvihill when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, Anascaul's goal looked a bit too open when Blathma Robinson came free, but Torran Mulvihill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torran Mulvihill made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blathma Robinson in the 95th minute. Lavally's Blathma Robinson got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Lavally could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Anascaul throughout the match.
