Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After some careless play in the Cloonakilleg defense, Baird Jameson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roy McPeter. The Cloonakilleg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roy McPeter should have stopped the shot. Abbot Myler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy McPeter having to interfere. Barde McLiam charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Barde McLiam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Rowe Kirby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Tralee's zone, Baine McTommy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blaire Byrne came out of the goal and Baine McTommy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 24 played minutes Tralee got a freekick which was hit by Rowe Kirby. When Tralee's Abbot Myler in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cloonakilleg's goalie prevented a goal. Roy McPeter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rowe Kirby in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abbot Myler to strike the kick off in the second half. Abbot Myler received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roy McPeter came out and tried to block the shot, but Abbot Myler slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 53rd minute. When Cloonakilleg's Baine McTommy in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tralee's goalie prevented a goal. 67 minutes into the match, Tralee's goal looked a bit too open when Baine McTommy came free, but Blaire Byrne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aron Walker took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Blaire Byrne. Blaire Byrne dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 73rd match minute, Cloonakilleg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aron Walker to maneuver through the defense. Tralee's Caimin McBrand managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Beag McVictor in the 75 minute of the game. Roy McPeter acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rowe Kirby. After 80 played minutes Cloonakilleg got a freekick which was hit by Aron Walker. Cloonakilleg were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
