Irwin McJohnny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bradon Gollogley in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Shankill's goal looked a bit too open when Gearóid Doherty came free, but Irwin McJohnny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Shankill getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Brennan Byrne hit a great ball. Rowland McIan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Irwin McJohnny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pearce Johnson hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Berrach Tierney took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Irwin McJohnny. Shankill's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Basil McPaul charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basil McPaul the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes Shankill got a freekick which was hit by Basil McPaul. In the 37th minute, Rowland McIan made a precise shot to the right of Irwin McJohnny. Shankill's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Scronagare's Brenan Caffrey got a free kick in the 39th minute. Shankill's Irwin McJohnny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gearóid Doherty in the 45th minute of play.

53 minutes into the match, Shankill's goal looked a bit too open when Gearóid Doherty came free, but Irwin McJohnny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 played minutes Shankill got a freekick which was hit by Basil McPaul. Shankill's Irwin McJohnny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bradon Gollogley in the 62nd minute of play. Saoirse McStephen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baydan McBrandon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Shankill's Brennan Byrne got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute. The referee ordered Brennan Byrne off the ground. Brennan Byrne hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Rowland McIan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scronagare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rowland McIan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Shankill's zone, Rowland McIan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irwin McJohnny came out of the goal and Rowland McIan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
