Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Barclay McFrank kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Cloonlumny booed when Benmore was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barock Kelly didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Barclay McFrank cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Blathmac Ferguson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 11 minutes into the match, Cloonlumny's goalkeeper Gavin Harkin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolan Lavine. After 17 minutes of play, Cloonlumny's Barclay McFrank made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Blathmac Ferguson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 22ndth minute of the game Henry McPeter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Benmore's Blathmac Ferguson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cloonlumny were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Benmore's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Barclay McFrank took the corner. In the 25th minute, Rolan Lavine made a precise shot to the right of Gavin Harkin. Cloonlumny's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Thanks to some nice moves Rolan Lavine could shoot a difficult shot in the 32nd minute, which Gavin Harkin however easily saved by the left post. Benmore's Blathmac Ferguson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Declan McJames in the 35th minute of play. Bradaigh Moran made in the 37th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Benmore's Bil Ferguson. Cloonlumny's Henry McPeter got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Royan Robinson during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 39 played minutes Benmore got a freekick which was hit by Royan Robinson. Barock Kelly hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Barclay McFrank took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Blathmac Ferguson. Benmore's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gavin Harkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolan Lavine in the 48th minute of play. The Benmore players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cloonlumny were winning 1-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rolan Lavine stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benmore's Royan Robinson got his second yellow card of the match in the 54th minute. The referee ordered Royan Robinson off the ground. Royan Robinson kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. A hard shot 61 in the game by Henry McPeter from a close distance when the talented Blathmac Ferguson managed to make a qualified save. Gavin Harkin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 69th match minute, Benmore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bil Ferguson to maneuver through the defense. Barclay McFrank fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blathmac Ferguson having to interfere. The supporters of Benmore booed when Cloonlumny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rorry McPhilip didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blathmac Ferguson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Declan McJames went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Blathmac Ferguson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Declan McJames in the 88th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cloonlumny's zone, Keelin McCready stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gavin Harkin came out of the goal and Keelin McCready tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blathmac Ferguson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barclay McFrank in the 97th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cloonlumny eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
