Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Newtownbarry FC's Boyce Dalton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Braon Caffey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 6th minute, Barclay McTom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Newtownbarry FC's Tierney McGlenn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braon Caffey in the 8th minute of play. After 11 minutes of play, Clúb Futbol Campilé's Braon Caffey made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tierney McGlenn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Raymond Keegan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Bracken John made a huge save. When Braon Caffey came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Clúb Futbol Campilé fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braon Caffey couldn't finish the play. Bracken John was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Bairne Hughes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bairne Hughes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 22nd minute, Bairne Hughes made a precise shot to the right of Bracken John. Clúb Futbol Campilé's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Newtownbarry FC's zone, Braon Caffey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tierney McGlenn came out of the goal and Braon Caffey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bracken John showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boyce Dalton, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Braon Caffey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Tierney McGlenn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barnaby McAaron might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tierney McGlenn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barnaby McAaron ran back to his position shaking his head. When Donell Caffrey fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clúb Futbol Campilé's protests and gave Donell Caffrey a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th match minute, Clúb Futbol Campilé was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donell Caffrey to maneuver through the defense. Clúb Futbol Campilé's Bracken John played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boyce Dalton in the 36th minute of play. After 38th play minutes Barnaby McAaron shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Tierney McGlenn and just under the crossbar into goal. Newtownbarry FC's Bean Todd pulled a muscle in his leg after 41 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Barnaby McAaron's late challenge caught a Newtownbarry FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barnaby McAaron helped the player get up and apologised. Barnaby McAaron hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Braon Caffey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tierney McGlenn having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Barnaby McAaron was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Barnaby McAaron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Braon Caffey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tierney McGlenn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Barnaby McAaron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Tierney McGlenn made a huge save. Braon Caffey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Tierney McGlenn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bracken John showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymond Keegan, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Braon Caffey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tierney McGlenn having to interfere. Braon Caffey struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Tierney McGlenn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clúb Futbol Campilé. Boyce Dalton was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Clúb Futbol Campilé. Farrell Ghee stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tierney McGlenn. 2-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raymond Keegan during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 86 played minutes Newtownbarry FC got a freekick which was hit by Raymond Keegan. Barnaby McAaron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Newtownbarry FC's goal looked a bit too open when Braon Caffey came free, but Tierney McGlenn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tierney McGlenn made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Barnaby McAaron sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Clúb Futbol Campilé booed when Newtownbarry FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barclay McTom didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Clúb Futbol Campilé had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
