The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Killanly's Gill Savic managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bergin Dillon in the 7 minute of the game. Gill Ghee received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Baird Prunty kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Bhrighde Gollogley's late challenge caught a Killanly's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bhrighde Gollogley helped the player get up and apologised. When Killanly's Balor McWillie in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Branchfield's goalie prevented a goal. 34 minutes into the match, Branchfield's goal looked a bit too open when Balor McWillie came free, but Branigan Ghee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th match minute, Killanly was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brayden Dimson to maneuver through the defense. Rowland Walker charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rowland Walker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd minute of the match, Gill Ghee tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gordan Coyle saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 44th minute, Balor McWillie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Branigan Ghee was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Balor McWillie to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Killanly's Rowen Brennan got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute, Baird Prunty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Breannain Walker kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes Killanly got a freekick which was hit by Brayden Dimson. An unexpected shot in the 69th minute by Brayden Dimson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Balor McWillie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Branigan Ghee made a huge save. In the 80th minute, Breannain Walker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gordan Coyle was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a rather tough play, Killanly's Dugan Scully got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Coran Silke took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gordan Coyle. Killanly's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Balor McWillie took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Branigan Ghee. Branigan Ghee dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Rian Dillon kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
