Shamus McGlynn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Kain McLian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Piers Sheridan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kain McLian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Shamus McGlynn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Kain McLian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 23rdth minute of the game Piers Sheridan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fahamore's Kain McLian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th match minute, Fahamore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebhinn Hughes to maneuver through the defense. Kain McLian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piers Sheridan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bebhinn Hughes during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th minute, Bebhinn Hughes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Ballygar Town getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Keely Murphy hit a great ball. Kain McLian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darick McFrancise, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Breslin Callaghan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 54th minute, Darick McFrancise left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballygar Town fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 57th minute Patrick McDecland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebhinn McTommy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ballygar Town's Shamus McGlynn got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Darick McFrancise made a precise shot to the right of Kain McLian. Fahamore's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick McDecland in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bebhinn McTommy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kain McLian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Seosamh Dimson in the 78th minute. Piers Sheridan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Kain McLian made a huge save.
