Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ennis Tracy started the match with the kick off. Bartel Crowe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Austin Cassin in the 2nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennis Tracy in the 9th minute of play forced Shanboe's goalkeeper Kain Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute Blathma McDecland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kain Hughes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartel Crowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dane Mullan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kain Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ennis Tracy in the 17th minute of the match. Baran Delaney hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Shanboe's goalkeeper Kain Hughes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Kelly. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ennis Tracy in the 23rd minute of play forced Shanboe's goalkeeper Kain Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Baran Delaney came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Shanboe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baran Delaney couldn't finish the play. Tomás Kelly's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kain Hughes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Shanboe's Kain Hughes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Shanboe from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute, Loughlin McLiam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ballyguin booed when Shanboe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boyd Ryan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-0 became the score in the 40th minute when Tomás Kelly elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Kain Hughes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 48th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tyrone Taylor made the kick off in the second half. Kain Hughes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blathma McDecland in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Ballyguin booed when Shanboe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loughlin McLiam didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blathma McDecland in the 74th minute of play forced Shanboe's goalkeeper Kain Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Shanboe's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Kelly came free, but Kain Hughes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tyrone Taylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Bartel Crowe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 94 played minutes Ballyguin got a freekick which was hit by Blathma McDecland. When Baran Delaney fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shanboe's protests and gave Baran Delaney a yellow card for diving instead. Baran Delaney hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
