After a defensive mix-up in Ballygar Town's zone, Gill Ghee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bebhinn McTommy came out of the goal and Gill Ghee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Ballygar Town defense, Breannain Walker kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bebhinn McTommy. The Ballygar Town fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bebhinn McTommy should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute, Piers Sheridan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballygar Town fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Branigan Ghee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piers Sheridan in the 42nd minute of play. Bebhinn McTommy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gill Ghee in the 43rd minute of the match.
