Jake Beckett had several of the Springfield City's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Ted Childs as he didn't even see the shot coming. 21 minutes into the game, Jake Beckett lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Ted Childs. Vasyl Maxymov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ted Childs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute Ritchie Eastham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Childs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ritchie Eastham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Childs having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jake Beckett in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ted Childs saved Springfield City from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Laurence White blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ted Childs having to make a save. Ritchie Eastham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Childs having to interfere. Jimmy Golding took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ted Childs. Springfield City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Springfield City defense, Jake Beckett kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ted Childs. The Springfield City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ted Childs should have stopped the shot. Ted Childs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jake Beckett, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vasyl Maxymov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jake Beckett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Childs having to interfere. The Londons finest fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Londons finest's Jake Beckett looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ted Childs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ritchie Eastham in the 77th minute of play. Ted Childs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jake Beckett's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Lloyd Jewson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Springfield City's supporters rose to their feet, but Lloyd Jewson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ludomil Kloczko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jake Beckett in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ted Childs prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jason Metcalfe hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the match, Jake Beckett had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ted Childs. Springfield City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jake Beckett was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jake Beckett in the 91st minute of play forced Springfield City's goalkeeper Ted Childs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
