Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Joseph Waterhouse got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute, Freddy Shaw had to leave the field with a concussion. 5 minutes into the game, Jason Bzeu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wembley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave March the free kick. Jason Bzeu hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. March's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Vern Ely 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind March's goalkeeper Tyrone Browne, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Lewis Perkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joseph Waterhouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ash Ellis having to interfere. In the 30thth minute of the game Lewis Perkins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wembley's Ash Ellis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 31st match minute, Wembley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jason Bzeu to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Wembley fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! Ash Ellis had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Mark Higson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Wembley's zone, Lewis Perkins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ash Ellis came out of the goal and Lewis Perkins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for March! March:s Tyrone Browne showed great skill when he stopped Bart Hargrave:s penalty. 46 minutes into the match, Bart Hargrave had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tyrone Browne. March's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bart Hargrave was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vern Ely to make the kick off. When Vern Ely came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Wembley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vern Ely couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, March's Mark Higson got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Martyn Schofield kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 80 minutes into the game, when Danny Bryden put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, March's Clive Fordham got a free kick in the 85th minute. Tyrone Browne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tod Phippard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Lewis Perkins managed to get in a good position for a shot. March's supporters rose to their feet, but Lewis Perkins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ash Ellis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lewis Perkins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 97 minutes into the match, March's Lewis Perkins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ash Ellis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Wembley support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
