To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Don Brazier made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Trey Trunks sent off a good shot on target. Ralph Tinker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Barraclough in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd match minute, Stony Stratford Town FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronny Hulbert to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Stony Stratford Town FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Nial Froggatt hit a great ball. After 27 played minutes Hastings got a freekick which was hit by Gwyn Percival. Ronny Hulbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Stony Stratford Town FC's Nial Froggatt in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Stony Stratford Town FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Barraclough was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronny Hulbert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Don Brazier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Fordham in the 53rd minute of play. Ralph Tinker made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Nial Froggatt sent off a good shot on target. Stony Stratford Town FC's Ronny Hulbert got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nial Froggatt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ralph Tinker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricky Fordham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricky Fordham in the 67th minute of play forced Stony Stratford Town FC's goalkeeper Don Brazier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ralph Tinker stood somewhat misplaced when Ronny Hulbert came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 71 minute. Ralph Tinker was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ronny Hulbert showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 74 minute of play. Ralph Tinker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Hulbert in the 78th minute of the match. Ralph Tinker made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Nial Froggatt sent off a good shot on target. Ricky Fordham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ronny Hulbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Ralph Tinker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronny Hulbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralph Tinker having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Nial Froggatt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stony Stratford Town FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nial Froggatt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the last second Ralph Tinker throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ronny Hulbert in the 97thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Stony Stratford Town FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
