A hard shot 6 in the game by Ashley Wiseman from a close distance when the talented Iain Dryden managed to make a qualified save. Cullompton City's players were relieved. Casey Norman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Iain Dryden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Camron Beckham in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexander Swain prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 21st minute, Conal Lamb ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexander Swain was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Camron Beckham's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexander Swain was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Cullompton City's Iain Dryden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Cullompton City from getting a goal against them. In the 30thth minute of the game Ash Hargreaves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cullompton City's Iain Dryden was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Conal Lamb managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cullompton City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Conal Lamb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ashley Wiseman kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Wes Bloom left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Selsdon City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Casey Norman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lewis Greenman got free with Iain Dryden in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Casey Norman to make the kick off. Keiran Stonebridge kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Casey Norman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Oscar Duggan charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oscar Duggan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Selsdon City getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Oscar Duggan hit a great ball. In the 67th match minute, Selsdon City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Russ Edwards to maneuver through the defense. After 70 minutes of play Selsdon City's Oscar Duggan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Oscar Duggan kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Matthew Sparkes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexander Swain having to make a save. Conal Lamb who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Alexander Swain when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Camron Beckham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st match minute, Selsdon City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ashley Wiseman to maneuver through the defense. Cullompton City's Camron Beckham got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Conal Lamb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Selsdon City's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
