Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zaq Albright took the kick off in the first half of the match. Basil Barfield's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ruben Westlake firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 7thth minute of the game Zaq Albright who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fire Dragons's Tommy Dowrick was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Grant Lee-Barrett took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tommy Dowrick. Fire Dragons's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 13th minute, Fire Dragons's Basil Barfield dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Tommy Dowrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaq Albright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute of the match, Basil Barfield got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ruben Westlake was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Kelvin Whiteley received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ruben Westlake came out and tried to block the shot, but Kelvin Whiteley slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 21st minute. Clive Blackhurst charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clive Blackhurst the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Clive Blackhurst hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. If Kelvin Whiteley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 minutes of play, Fire Dragons's Basil Barfield made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruben Westlake was left in no man's land by his defense there! 38 minutes into the match, Chelsea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kelvin Whiteley came free, but Ruben Westlake reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kelvin Whiteley in the 39th minute of play forced Chelsea FC's goalkeeper Ruben Westlake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basil Barfield scored 4-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruben Westlake, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Ruben Westlake showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basil Barfield in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kelvin Whiteley in the 54th minute of play forced Chelsea FC's goalkeeper Ruben Westlake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chelsea FC's Ruben Westlake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basil Barfield in the 55th minute of play. After some careless play in the Chelsea FC defense, Steve Tubbs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruben Westlake. The Chelsea FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruben Westlake should have stopped the shot. Chelsea FC's Ruben Westlake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kelvin Whiteley in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute Zaq Albright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Dowrick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute, Kelvin Whiteley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ruben Westlake was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. 70 minutes into the match, Basil Barfield notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Chelsea FC's Ruben Westlake. Ruben Westlake was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Fire Dragons's zone, Clive Blackhurst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Dowrick came out of the goal and Clive Blackhurst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute Kelvin Whiteley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Westlake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Fire Dragons's Steve Tubbs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruben Westlake made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. Ruben Westlake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kelvin Whiteley in the 92nd minute of play. Zaq Albright who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Tommy Dowrick when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fire Dragons's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
