Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Louis Delaney started the match with the kick off. Dylan Shearer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Lenny Acton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6 minutes into the game, Teddy Patten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thornhill FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Halstead AFC the free kick. After 7 played minutes Thornhill FC got a freekick which was hit by Teddy Patten. In the 8th minute, Dylan Shearer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Benjamin Gibbons fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Halstead AFC's protests and gave Benjamin Gibbons a yellow card for diving instead. Thornhill FC's Teddy Patten couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Halstead AFC. Lewis Welch hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute of the match Teddy Patten sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Callum Pitt skillfully saved the ball. Halstead AFC's Callum Pitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordan Mahon in the 24th minute of play. Rich Dibb kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Callum Pitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tristram Nevin in the 26th minute of play. When Louis Delaney came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Halstead AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Louis Delaney couldn't finish the play. After 30 minutes, Buster Froggatt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Halstead AFC and the Thornhill FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 30 played minutes Halstead AFC got a freekick which was hit by Buster Froggatt. After 35 played minutes Halstead AFC got a freekick which was hit by Buster Froggatt. Dylan Shearer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lenny Acton having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tristram Nevin in the 46th minute of play forced Halstead AFC's goalkeeper Callum Pitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jordan Mahon was the one to do the kick off. Lenny Acton came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Halstead AFC's Dylan Shearer. But to his dismay, Dylan Shearer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Lewis Welch hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Callum Pitt was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Teddy Patten. Callum Pitt made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Tristram Nevin sent off a good shot on target. After 69 minutes of play Thornhill FC's Teddy Patten was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Thornhill FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Teddy Patten hit a great ball. Louis Delaney took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lenny Acton. Lenny Acton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Jordan Mahon hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The supporters of Halstead AFC booed when Thornhill FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordan Mahon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Thornhill FC's goalkeeper Lenny Acton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Thornhill FC's zone, Dylan Shearer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lenny Acton came out of the goal and Dylan Shearer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Halstead AFC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
