Spectators: 5016 (Terracing: 4003, Seating: 1003, VIP seats: 10) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rueben Bramble kicked off to start the match. Rueben Bramble kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Bart Boulding sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Geoff Clegg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adam Garnett. The goal made the score 1-0. Jerry Hardcastle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Garnett having to interfere. If Rueben Bramble had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geoff Clegg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Adam Garnett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Rueben Bramble got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Bart Boulding had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rueben Bramble's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adam Garnett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. If Johnathan Bevan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Manchester Unity's goal looked a bit too open when Garry Devaney came free, but Donny Ellerton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Jerry Hardcastle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester Unity's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerry Hardcastle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donny Ellerton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garry Devaney, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Geoff Clegg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Manchester Unity's Geoff Clegg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adam Garnett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Jerry Hardcastle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Garry Devaney made a kick off. Rueben Bramble blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adam Garnett having to make a save. Donny Ellerton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Garry Devaney, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Rueben Bramble came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Manchester Unity fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rueben Bramble couldn't finish the play. Geoff Clegg struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Adam Garnett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester Unity. If Rueben Bramble had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 65 minutes, Jerry Hardcastle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester Unity's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerry Hardcastle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adam Garnett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geoff Clegg in the 67th minute of play. Bart Boulding recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Geoff Clegg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute of the match Manchester Unity got a corner. Lasham's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marek Riad ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marek Riad made a great header on Manchester Unity's corner, it was just that Lasham's Adam Garnett managed to reach the ball for a save. Bart Boulding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Adam Garnett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bart Boulding sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Hardcastle in the 93rd minute of play forced Lasham's goalkeeper Adam Garnett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manchester Unity's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
