Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Stan White made the kick off which started today's match. When Harry Edworthy fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ebley City's protests and gave Harry Edworthy a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ebley City getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Harry Edworthy hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Ebley City's goal looked a bit too open when Ashley Dobson came free, but Sol Simms reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kirk Tomlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sol Simms having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stan White in the 10th minute of play forced Hardly Athletic's goalkeeper Marc Harkness to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hardly Athletic's Marc Harkness played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stan White in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Stan White reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marc Harkness. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 20th minute, Pat Sykes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Kirk Tomlin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hardly Athletic were furious when Dominic Roy was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 25th minute, one of Hardly Athletic:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hardly Athletic. Mike Byfield placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Ashley Dobson struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Sol Simms didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hardly Athletic. Ashley Dobson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Sol Simms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ebley City booed when Hardly Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pat Sykes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stan White sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dean Basham's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marc Harkness firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 41 played minutes Ebley City got a freekick which was hit by Tyler McNiven. Sol Simms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ashley Dobson in the 46th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Ashley Dobson made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Stan White notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Hardly Athletic's Marc Harkness. Marc Harkness was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hardly Athletic's attentive Pat Sykes managed to snatch the ball when Harry Edworthy made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. Ashley Dobson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronnie McRobbie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Sol Simms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Hardly Athletic getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Pat Sykes hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Ebley City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hardly Athletic:s goal. In the 72nd minute of the game, Hardly Athletic got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. Marc Harkness made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stan White in the 75th minute of play. If Ashley Dobson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jordan Stonehouse's late challenge caught a Hardly Athletic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jordan Stonehouse helped the player get up and apologised. 86 minutes into the match, Hardly Athletic's Ashley Dobson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sol Simms narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ashley Dobson might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sol Simms. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ashley Dobson ran back to his position shaking his head. Mike Byfield took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marc Harkness. Hardly Athletic's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ashley Dobson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Harry Edworthy made in the 99th minute of the game a quick throw-in and George Dimmock immediately put the ball in play. Ronnie McRobbie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 101st minute. Sol Simms tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hardly Athletic were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
