Kirk Tomlin started the match with the kick off. When Liam Radcliffe fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shobdon's protests and gave Liam Radcliffe a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hardly Athletic booed when Shobdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liam Radcliffe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Shobdon's Jon Soussan got a free kick in the 7th minute. Ken Cohens came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Hardly Athletic's Kirk Tomlin. But to his dismay, Kirk Tomlin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 14 played minutes Hardly Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Ronnie McRobbie. Kirk Tomlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ken Cohens having to interfere. Ken Cohens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pat Sykes in the 26th minute of the match. Liam Radcliffe kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to Shobdon getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Liam Radcliffe hit a great ball. The supporters of Hardly Athletic booed when Shobdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stewart Potts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ken Cohens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronnie McRobbie in the 38th minute. Ken Cohens made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Kirk Tomlin sent off a good shot on target.

The wind increased when Stewart Copsey made the kick off in the second half. Ashley Dobson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ken Cohens having to make a save. A collision led to Shobdon getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Liam Radcliffe hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kurt Moon during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Shobdon booed when Hardly Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Moon didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Stewart Potts in the 61st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Hardly Athletic's Dominic Roy. In the 78th minute, Kirk Tomlin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hardly Athletic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. A collision led to Hardly Athletic getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Ronnie McRobbie hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute Jez Sullivan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc Harkness saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dominic Roy kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Hardly Athletic's Dominic Roy managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Stewart Potts in the 91 minute of the game. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hardly Athletic had played much better football throughout.
